Man is at the center of Marion Fink's monotypes. As in a dream, imaginary places accumulate around him and form a stage on paper. These seemingly boundless worlds mix fantasy with reality, creating places where nothing seems impossible. Immersed in thoughts and possibilities, the protagonists form a unity of profound lightness and playful heaviness out of themselves and their environment.
Is something true that exists only in thought? The title of the exhibition refers to the Truth-Maker Theory, which deals with perceptions of reality. The philosophical approach examines the extent to which something is real once it is thought and the ways in which one establishes these essential differences. The artist expresses this blurred interface of mind and world in her latest works.
